Physical installation of equipment occurs after the pre-staging process and the shipment of the equipment to customer site. Equipment is typically powered-up at this stage and testing is again carried out to ensure that the equipment is functioning perfectly in line with the configuration achieved in the pre-staging process. This is subject to any restrictions that may apply. At this stage, the equipment is in an off-line state, ie: it is not connected to the live customer environment.
